
Dr Farrah Ayob -Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia
Dr Farrah Ayob is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia. She qualified in Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery from King’s College London and completed her specialist training in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine across major London teaching hospitals, with additional fellowship training experience in Toronto, Canada.
She undertook advanced subspecialty training in Pain Medicine at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. Dr Ayob also holds the internationally recognised Fellowship of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP), endorsed by the World Institute of Pain, reflecting advanced expertise in interventional pain management.
Dr Ayob has extensive experience in the management of acute and chronic pain conditions, including complex spinal pain, neuropathic pain syndromes, joint and musculoskeletal pain, pelvic and abdominal pain, fibromyalgia, post-surgical pain, cancer-related pain and cannabis based medicine. She adopts a comprehensive, patient-centred approach, integrating interventional procedures, pharmacological optimisation, and multidisciplinary care to improve function and quality of life.
She has international experience in establishing a specialist pain management service in the Middle East, working closely with orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, physiotherapists and various surgical teams to develop integrated pain pathways. She is also dedicated in post-graduate training and is a Faculty member for Advanced Pain London Training Group.
